I interviewed with CroMetrics a few years ago for a Program Manager role. The first interview went well and I was invited to the next step, which was a paid interview process. Everyone I interacted with was great, professional, and helpful. However, the process required a significant time commitment, about 10-12 hours spread over two weeks. I realized this was too much to balance with my current full-time job, as I wasn't comfortable dedicating that much time to a new opportunity while still employed. It's an interesting concept to get paid for the interview time and it makes sense from a company's perspective to assess fit, but I felt it would be difficult to fully engage during business hours and participate in Slack conversations without impacting my current job. I had to withdraw politely. The team was very understanding and professional, and I believe CroMetrics is a great place to work if you can commit to their hiring process.

Technical Presentation

I had a pre-screen call with the recruiter, followed by a paid interview project. I think the paid project has multiple parts, including interviews. Paid projects aren't my favorite, but the pay is pretty good. You get access to most things, and documentation is super important. Oh, and they really like brown M&Ms, which says a lot about their culture.

The interview process lasted for two weeks and was paid. It was thorough and enjoyable, with very nice people. My main issue was with compensation; I told several decision-makers my requirements, and no one indicated my desired range would be hard to meet. The offer was significantly lower than expected, even though I aced the interviews and demonstrated I could perform the program manager and strategist duties. I chose not to negotiate further.
