Software Engineer Intern
The interview process was pretty chill. The interviewers were really nice, welcoming, and friendly. They gave me plenty of time to answer questions, and they asked a good mix of technical and behavioral questions. Some solid studying on JS, HTML, and CSS should be enough for this role. Any experience with SEO and accessibility would be a big plus.
- In JavaScript, what's the distinction between the == and === operators?
- Describe a problem or obstacle you faced on a previous school or work project and explain how you overcame it.
- What differentiates OOP from functional programming?
Software Engineer
The interview included a take-home coding challenge that tested practical JavaScript web development skills. It was divided into two parts: sorting/processing data and then visually displaying it. I had 3-4 days to complete it. On the actual interview day, I had to go over my code and explain it thoroughly. The interviewers were really nice and made the atmosphere relaxed so I could feel at ease. They also asked some behavioral questions at the end, so make sure you're ready to discuss your previous experiences and what you've contributed.
- Can you walk me through your data processing approach and the reasoning behind it?
- Tell me about your past experiences and contributions in detail.
Software Engineer
The interview process for the internship wasn't too difficult. I was given a coding challenge to complete over a few days. This challenge involved some basic data processing using JavaScript and then displaying that data using HTML. During the actual interview, I had to explain the code I had already written in depth. Both the interviewer and recruiter were quite friendly. The recruiter even stayed in touch for about six months, even with the COVID-19 situation.
- Can you explain the code you wrote in detail?
