Program Manager
A Senior Technical Recruiter reached out to me. We had a phone screen to go over my background and qualifications. The hiring managers reviewed the notes from the screen and decided not to move forward. The recruiter called me back the next day to explain their decision, which I thought was really classy, especially since most places don't bother explaining rejections. If that's how they do things there, I'm impressed.
- Can you share an instance from your previous roles where a decision you made turned out to be incorrect? Describe how you addressed the situation and the lessons you took away from it.
Program Manager
I had a Skype call with the recruiter who is based in Paris. We talked about the job description and Criteo as a company. It was pretty nice and friendly, and the recruiter mentioned he'd get back to me quickly. After that, there was silence. Worse still, after a week I emailed to see if they'd made a decision, but got no response. I sent two more emails and was ignored each time. It's really surprising how unprofessional and disrespectful this is. I hope the company is better than this employee appears to be.

Engineering Program Manager
I had a chat with a recruiter from HR over the phone. It was a pleasant and straightforward conversation that lasted around 30 minutes. They were mainly asking about my motivations, what's on my resume, and my overall experience. The recruiter mentioned they'd put me forward for the role and get back to me about another interview with someone technical. However, I heard nothing for two weeks. I reached out to the recruiter for an update but received no response, even after another two weeks passed. Honestly, it felt unprofessional.
