First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cricket Media.
Product Manager
It was a pretty chill zoom interview, meeting with a few people from the team at different times. It felt like they just wanted to chat and see if our working styles and personalities would mesh well. I also got to ask them questions, and they didn't rush me at all.
- Can you share an example of how you resolved a complicated issue?
Customer Support
The first interview was on Zoom. It was fair straight forward. Given the position was for a customer support role, I felt the interview was a bit more demanding than needed. The second interview was also through zoom, however, the link provided to me, was inaccurate, which caused me a bit of panic as I could not join the call on time.
- Can you explain how your past experience aligns with the requirements of this position?
Technical Project Manager
The interviewer didn't seem to have my resume and asked me to essentially read it back to him, detailing my past roles and employment dates for the last 15 years. It felt like he wasn't really listening, as he gave no feedback and I even thought we'd lost connection at one point. His questions weren't really related to the job description, focusing instead on Unix and .net technical skills, neither of which were highlighted in the JD. He did ask some detailed SEO questions, which I have a technical overview of, but again, not directly related to the role. He didn't ask any project management questions at all. He mentioned a hard deadline and said he'd email me about a second interview, but I never heard back. I found it difficult because I had to go over my whole resume and the interviewer was unprepared and asked irrelevant questions.
- Do you have .net experience, given this role is for customer-facing web applications with a focus on online communities?
- What are your methods for SEO and how would you ensure a site gets indexed?
Sales Executive
The interview process was efficient and done online. I had an initial screening call over the phone. I was recruited for the job and hired quickly. The team has changed since I left, so the process might be different now.
- Could you present the product online?
