First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crete Carrier.
Truck Driver
I submitted an online application and Crete's recruiter reached out within a day. The recruiter was professional and polite, asking about my past experience and future career aspirations. Throughout the screening, they kept me updated and requested verification for various details. They were happy to answer any questions I had about Crete and whether it was the right fit for me. I ultimately accepted their offer and started as a national driver after orientation. So far, Crete has lived up to expectations as a respectable company that compensates its drivers well. I'm very happy with how the hiring process went and my decision to drive for Crete.
- Were you looking for a regional or national account position?
OTR Driver
We'll do a typical phone interview with the recruiter. They'll ask about your experience, any tickets or accidents you've had, what endorsements you hold, and whether you're interested in an over-the-road or regional job. They'll also inquire about any alcohol or drug issues and if you've ever been convicted of driving under the influence.
- How many years of driving experience do you have?
- Tell me about any tickets or accidents on your record.
- What driving endorsements do you possess?
Operations Associate
Applied online. Got a call back about a week later to schedule a phone interview. Had a phone interview with two people where they asked a lot of situational questions. My references were contacted three days after that. Then I got a call for a second interview with two people. It was very short, basically a face-to-face version of what was already asked on the phone.
- What makes you want to leave your current role?

First, you will meet with the IT manager. If that goes well, the HR Department will send a job offer for you to accept within a certain number of days. Once you send your acceptance email, they will tell you your start date and what to expect on your first day. Your first day will involve meeting your manager and the team, followed by a day of general training.
