First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crestwood Behavioral Health.
Communications Manager
It was an easy interview process, starting with a phone screen and then an on-site interview, followed by an offer the very next day. I was super happy and accepted the written offer right away. I let them know immediately that the start date they gave me fell on a Friday when I'd be out of town. I would have told them earlier, but I wasn't sure if I'd get an offer or when I might start. I gave them the choice to either have me start on the given date or the following week, and also provided some dates I had tentative plans for time off, asking if those dates would work. I was totally willing to adjust if needed. I was so bummed when they called the next day to say the offer was rescinded, and they didn't give a reason until I asked if it was because of the vacation time. They just said it was a factor, which made me think there were other things going on or they simply changed their minds. Either way, it gave me the impression that they don't value work-life balance much if a few days off is a deal-breaker.

Recovery Coach
The first interview was a phone call where I was asked about a past real-life scenario and how I dealt with it. I was also asked which of Crestwood Behavioral's tenants resonated with me the most. After that, I moved to an in-person interview. This meeting was with the manager of music therapy and another employee, who was in a leadership position. The second interview lasted about 30 minutes to an hour, and a good portion of it was explaining the role. They presented three different scenarios and asked how I would handle each one. Both interviews ended with the question about "their favorite part of the interview," which was if I had any questions for them.

- Tell me about a real-life scenario and how you handled it.
- How would you manage each of the three presented scenarios?
Residential Counselor
The interview process was organized and felt welcoming. The person interviewing me asked relevant questions and was easy to converse with. I felt totally at ease throughout the entire process. The whole thing lasted about 45 minutes, and they got back to me quickly and were helpful. The interviewer went over all the parts of the job and asked sensible questions about my experience with each aspect.
- Can you explain Schizophrenia to a layperson?
Administrator
The interview process involved a phone screening with HR, followed by a Zoom interview with the hiring manager, and concluded with a final Zoom interview with a panel. I had a very positive and professional experience. The HR team was responsive to my questions throughout the process, which was a factor in my acceptance of the position.
