First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
Staff Accountant
The whole procedure took 1.5 months. First, there was a phone interview with the recruiter. Then, team interviews happened, with the department head, hiring manager, and a team member interviewing me one by one. After that, an online assessment was given. Finally, there was an additional round with the department head.
- Tell me about your past experience in detail.
Guest Service Representative
I had a phone call from the front desk manager who was interested in my application. Then I had a face-to-face interview with the Front Desk Manager. After that, I had a second face-to-face interview with the Operations Manager. Finally, I had a third face-to-face interview with the General Manager of the Hotel. The first round was mainly about my education background, professional experience, and some general chat. The second round involved 5 logic questions to gauge my personality. The final round was more like a casual conversation with the GM.
- Regarding your time at school, were you someone who always answered first, waited to answer, or never answered questions?
- How do you think your friends would describe you?
- Could you tell me about a negative quality you possess?
Marketing Director
Had a quick phone screening, then a one hour video interview. After that, there was a one hour in-person interview, which involved flying to another state and took a whole day for travel back and forth, but they reimbursed the travel costs. The last interview required me to present a case study on one of their future acquisitions. I spent hours crafting a detailed presentation, only to find out during the interview that they were acquiring this property and I was giving away tons of ideas for free. They said I'd hear back within two weeks, but after following up multiple times, I never got a response.
- Are you okay with presenting to owners?
Area Managing Director
The interview process was absolutely terrible. There was no professionalism, no basic respect of communication throughout the process, and no two entities talking to each other. This company is a mess; no one is on the same page, and no one is empowered along the process, not even the VP this hire reports to. I learned everything I need to know about this company based on this process, and I would never work for them.
- They lack a structured process.
