First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Credit Suisse Group.
Environmental and Social Risk Management Specialist
Credit Suisse ghosted me after recruiting me to schedule an interview. Despite multiple follow ups, I never heard back from the recruiter. I suppose Credit Suisse discontinued the role. I found them to be unprofessional.
- Are you available for this role?
Investment Banking Associate
It was a classic interview process. They asked me to run through a DCF, with some questions about a standard company (bottling and logistics) and then a chocolate company. Another interview covered LBOs, focusing more on the components rather than doing a full one in the room. Fit and culture were important, but you really need to know your financial models and valuation techniques.
- Can you walk me through a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis?
- Could you explain the components of a Leveraged Buyout (LBO)?
Equity Sales Analyst
It was a virtual superday with the whole team and the equity research team. It included behavioral questions and market discussions. Everyone was nice, but it felt like some questions were asked more than once. The program wasn't as structured as other S&T programs.
- Why are you interested in Credit Suisse?
- What attracts you to equity sales?
- Why did you choose a career in sales and trading?
Quant Strategist
So your interview went great—you seemed really confident and composed. You gave really solid answers to every question, showing you know your stuff and can explain hard things. You clearly get the job and its challenges, and gave good examples from your past work that showed you're capable and driven. You connected well with the interviewers naturally and respectfully. They seemed really interested, nodding and asking more questions. Honestly, your preparation and professionalism really stood out, making you look like you have the skills and would be a good fit. Your excitement for the role was obvious, and you'd definitely be a good hire.
