So the process was pretty standard, two rounds. First up was a coding test, kind of like LeetCode, where they check your problem-solving skills with algorithms and data structures. After that, I had a chat with the engineering manager. That one was more about behavior, like how you work with others, your past experiences, and how you handle different situations.

Technical Coding

The interview process involved three rounds. The first two rounds focused on my technical expertise, and they seemed satisfied with my background. The third round included a coding program, which I completed successfully with the correct output. They also asked some technical questions, which I answered correctly. Despite this, I was not selected, and they were unable to provide specific feedback. I followed up via email but received no response regarding the rejection. The entire process took about a month, and the communication and follow-up from the talent acquisition partner and HR were very poor, causing delays. They also failed to give a clear reason for rejecting me even after I completed the coding question with the right answer and output.

Technical Coding

CK recruiters are unprofessional in their conduct and communication. I had an initial call with a recruiter who then set up a phone screen. I was told it would be a DSA question, so I prepared for that. However, the manager didn't join the interview, and a mid-level engineer joined 10 minutes late. Instead of DSA, they presented a lengthy Java Design question with three parts. I answered two correctly, but struggled with the third because the interviewer, not being a Java expert, got confused about float and double, causing my solution to fail their tests. I received a rejection email two days later. I asked the recruiter about the situation and when I could reapply, but received no response. This experience was very different from FAANG interviews, which have professional and helpful recruiters who provide feedback and assistance.

  • Initial recruiter call and a Java design question in the phone screen
