First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Credit Karma.
Marketing
So I interviewed with Credit Karma for a marketing role. It's a place where folks really live and breathe the company's mission. Everyone I talked to was super genuine, no fakes here. The recruiters were on top of their game with quick replies and good communication. The interview itself involved an initial chat, then a case study, followed by a panel interview. It felt like a pretty typical hiring process, not too rushed or dragging on. Honestly, this interview was one of the best I've had this year, and I've applied to companies big and small. I'll definitely be applying to Credit Karma again because they have something unique that's hard to find elsewhere.
- Can you share an instance where your manager assigned you a task you disagreed with?

I wish I could say I had a better experience, I really do. I was very excited to have gotten a phone interview with the hiring manager which I felt went well, because I was sent an Excel exercise to complete afterwards. After spending a considerable amount of time on the exercise, I then received complete radio silence from the hiring manager, despite following up multiple times. A couple months later, I then received the standard rejection email template from their automated system, not even from the hiring manager that I had been speaking to throughout the entire process. The fact that I was sent the automated "Thank you for your interest" email rather than being given feedback on the case or even contacted by the hiring manager speaks volumes to how much they care about your time and effort.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone call from HR, then a video chat with the hiring manager where we talked about my background, the company, and the role. I also did a quick Excel case study to see how I approach analysis and problem-solving. The last part was a half-day, in-person interview with a group of managers and team members that included more case studies. It all took a few weeks, and I was really happy to get their offer.
