Credit Karma Engineering Manager Interview Questions

The interview process consisted of 5 rounds. It included a recruiter call, rounds focusing on people management and delivery management, a systems design interview, and a hiring manager round. I had a pretty good experience and accepted the offer and joined the company. So far the company has been good.

I was initially referred by someone at Credit Karma and met with a few people in engineering. Things went well, so I applied for a role later. The onsite interview process was a bit disorganized. When I asked how to prepare, they said they didn't know. The interview was supposed to be all day, but they cut out two sessions Friday morning because people like to leave early. It dawned on me mid-interview that the job might be different from what we originally discussed, which they didn't clarify beforehand. I mentioned I was interviewing elsewhere and expected to get an offer soon. A couple of weeks later, they asked to discuss feedback. I replied, but they didn't acknowledge it. Days later, I told them I accepted another offer, and still no response, not even a rejection. I assume they weren't going to offer me the role, but I don't know for sure. Everyone who interviews onsite should get a clear decision. My impression is they have a lot of leadership roles but maybe not enough people to do the work.

The recruiters seemed clueless about the role and the interview process. I suspect they have a high offer rejection rate, leading them to keep multiple candidates in limbo, which is a waste of time. During the initial screening call, I asked about the salary range, but the recruiter was evasive. He then suggested we proceed to a technical round, which I agreed to. After clearing that interview, I received an email stating things went well and outlining the next steps. I replied, inquiring about the salary range again, but received no response. I followed up again, but still no answer. I don't have time for people who waste my time 😀
