First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Creative Group.
Project Manager
First, I had a phone interview with someone from the main company. Then, I went through a two-part interview process. This involved meeting with managers from different teams I would be working with, specifically a project manager manager and a program manager manager. I also met with two individuals from other departments.
- Can you tell me about your experience managing projects when you didn't have much direct supervision?
- Have you managed projects with little guidance?
Urban Designer
Applied through college to the office. Then I was asked to send my portfolio. After they looked at the portfolios, they shortlisted candidates. An offer was made, and then negotiations happened. After negotiations, a joining date and the terms and conditions were set.
- Can you tell me about the skills you have?
Account Manager
It was very thorough. First, there was a pre-phone interview assessment, then a video interview, followed by online assessments. They also asked for an essay writing sample and work samples. Finally, the in-person interview consisted of 5 meetings with 8 different people all in the same day, lasting about 6 hours. They flew me in for it, which made it a 20-hour day including travel, possibly part of the test. It was extremely professional and I liked how well they vet and invest in a candidate.
- Can you share an instance where you were not successful?
- Please describe an event you managed from its initiation to completion.
- What are the main points you'd like us to understand about you?
Program Manager
HR reached out to me for an initial screening call. After that, I had two Zoom interviews. The first was with two people who work closely with the Program Manager role, and the second was with the hiring manager and another Program Manager. It struck me as a bit unusual that I didn't have a one-on-one interview with just the hiring manager, and that both of these interviews were primarily behavioral, instead of focusing on the role and how my experience aligns.
- What is the most frequent misconception your team has about you?
- Describe an instance where you needed to be completely honest with someone.
- Can you share a challenging situation you encountered and how you navigated it?
