I saw the ad for cream hiring online and clicked it. A franchisee messaged me about open door interviews. I had my interview a few days later in an office building, even though the ice cream shop was down the road.

I sent in my resume and a few days later, they reached out for an in-person interview at the store during business hours. The interviewer was really friendly and made it feel more like a casual chat. The questions seemed straightforward, though I did prepare beforehand. Make sure to highlight your skills and experience in your responses.

I applied online and got a call about a week or two later for an interview. I was out of town, so the manager told me to text him when I got back. When I got back, I had to text him twice to finally get a response. He said the interview would only be about 10 minutes. When I arrived, they asked the basics. Tell me about yourself and why you want to work at CREAM. It was only ten minutes, as he mentioned. At the end, he explained the training process and said he would contact me within 48 hours if he wanted to hire me. I never heard back.

The interview was highly unprofessional. I had to wait twenty minutes for the manager to get off the phone. While waiting, a homeless man walked in and started to dirty dance next to me with his fly down. The employees did nothing to help or stop him. He finally left after three to five minutes. When the manager finished her call, she had forgotten we rescheduled and that I had sent the application as a pdf, initially blaming me for both mistakes. The interview took place in a closet space, standing the whole time, and only lasted about five minutes. It was a complete waste of time.
