First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crayon.
Analyst
It was the standard process with 3 rounds total. I spoke with different people on the team. The last round was with the head of the department, who was super nice and made me feel comfortable. The team seemed really enthusiastic about the role overall.
- Can you solve one of our day-to-day problems?
Solutions Engineer
I submitted an application online. The entire process spanned 8 weeks and involved 5 interviews with different managers. The HR and managers were unprofessional and arrogant, with one manager acting as 'bad cop'. HR sometimes takes weeks to schedule an interview and then never follows up. It was the worst experience with HR and managers I've ever had.
- Can you name five companies you'd most like to work for?
Customer Onboarding Manager
It was an easy three step process, but I was very disappointed to be ghosted. First, I spoke with the VP of Success for 30 minutes. Then, I met with the manager of the onboarding team for 1 hour. Lastly, I interviewed with two members of the team for 45 minutes. After the interview with the team members, I didn't feel like I was a good fit and expected a rejection, but I received nothing. This is a huge red flag and a horrible candidate experience. I've never gone through three rounds of interviews and not received a response about my application status. It takes minutes to send an email. Get it together.

- How do you prioritize tasks?
Insight Analyst
I applied in February and heard back in April after I reached out to some employees on LinkedIn. They asked typical interview questions about attention to detail and how I handle strife with a colleague, etc. After finding out the starting salary was 40K, I wasn't really interested in moving forward, but the hiring manager was really nice and I'm glad I spoke with them to find out more.
- Can you tell me about a time you successfully managed a challenging situation?
