I sent in my resume and about a month later, I had an initial screening call. Then, two weeks after that, I had 4 virtual interviews, each 30 minutes long, all back-to-back. About a week after those, I got an offer. Everyone I met was really nice and kept talking about how important collaboration, dedication, and teamwork are. They also really emphasized the need for overtime commitment, which was one of the first things they brought up during the phone screening.

I had two initial 30-minute interviews with two paralegal managers. They were both very nice and encouraged me to ask a lot of questions about the firm and the role. The questions were around the CV, my motivations and competency questions. I was contacted the next day for a second round of interviews with a Partner and an attorney. The Partner was very rude and hostile the whole time, and it felt like he didn’t want to waste his time interviewing me. In the end, I was informed I didn’t get the job 3 days after my interview. They used the usual ‘you don’t have enough experience’ excuse. Yet, they wasted my time with 4 interviews.

I got a call inviting me to interview in New York, but they didn't cover my travel costs. When I got there, I was supposed to meet with the head of legal support services after meeting with HR. He was too busy, so they asked me to come back next week, which meant another expensive trip from Boston to New York. I told HR this was really inconvenient and I could do a phone interview or something easier, and she agreed. Then I got a rejection email the following week. Totally unprofessional and thoughtless.
