Behavioral Case

I got there 10 minutes early and they had me chill on a couch on the sales floor. The department lead came over to me and we just talked right there. She started by asking me to tell her about myself and then we went into more questions. Most of them were asking for examples. It felt pretty chill, like a normal conversation. She seemed to dig me and said I'd need a second interview with the store manager.

I heard back from the hiring manager about a week after submitting my resume. The whole interview process was really simple and asked basic questions on customer service. The only issue I had with the interview process was that after the interview the lady said she would get back to me in a week, and I actually never heard back even after sending 2 follow-up emails. I understand not getting a job or they went with a better candidate, but clearly the store manager should not hold that position giving that she can’t even show any authority.

I interviewed twice for the furniture sales associate role in Santa Clara. The first interview with the assistant manager went well, they asked about me, showed me around the furniture area, and said I could start right away. Then, I had a second interview with the store manager who asked more specific questions about my experience and qualifications. After that, I heard nothing back. I had to send two emails to get a response. Eventually, they offered me a lower-paying job in housewares. Even after I said I was interested, the store manager stopped communicating. Be prepared for them to waste your time and not follow up.
