Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crate and Barrel.

It was a very straightforward and casual interview. They explained the job duties clearly and quickly. The department I applied to was really short-handed and needed help ASAP. Overall, the interview wasn't tough, but the job itself didn't seem like what was described.
- What are your thoughts on multitasking?

Had a phone call, then got invited for an interview. This was the WORST interview experience I've ever had. I thought it went really well. The interviewer said they'd contact me in a week. A week went by with no contact. I called them back at the end of that week and they said they were 'still interviewing people and will call back'... They never did. I've never had more anxiety about a job than this. It's been over a month now and I'm still waiting for closure because they never provided any. Don't promise a callback if you don't intend to follow through. I would have appreciated closure if I didn't get the job, which I never received... Thanks for almost a month of anxiety....
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to assist a customer?

The interview started with a phone call to figure out my availability. After that, I had an interview with some questions, and then I got the job. After that, there was a group orientation. I started as seasonal and was able to stay on as part-time.
- Can you work weekends?
