First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crane Currency.
Lab Processing Technician
First there was a phone interview, then a Teams interview with the lead tech and supervisor, and then finally an in-person interview. This was all before the company restructuring paused the position.
- How have you handled high-stress situations in the past?
- Can you talk about your experience with hand-eye coordination?
- How would you describe your attention to detail?
Financial Analyst
A recruiter contacted me and did a quick phone screen, then we set up an in-person interview at the Dalton, MA office. The interview had a panel of 4-5 people from different departments, all relevant to the job. It was a really clear process, and the interview felt like more than just a chat about my work history.
- How would you handle issues that arise between different teams working together?
Process Engineer
I sent in my application online and a couple days later, an HR rep emailed me for a phone chat. We had a really nice conversation. About a week after that, I had a video meeting with the hiring manager. We talked about the job and their work environment, and it was all really positive. She mentioned I'd meet with more people. A week later, I had another video call, this time with a senior founder. That also felt like a good, informative chat about their work. It's been about two months since that last interview and I haven't heard back, so I'm guessing it's a no. The interviewers were all friendly and it seems like a good place to work. My only suggestion for their hiring is to let candidates know if they aren't moving forward.
- Could you describe your approach to problem-solving?
- How would you describe your management style?
- What is your familiarity with lean principles?
Production Planner
I interviewed with the hiring manager initially and was informed about the on-call requirement for nights and weekends, which I didn't want. I decided it wasn't a good fit. Later, I was contacted by recruiting and encouraged to reapply since the position was open again. I went through a phone screening, and it went well. I was told it was a standard first shift role. However, the hiring manager then recalled my reluctance to work nights and weekends and decided not to move forward with further interviews. It wasn't a very professional experience overall.
