Following an unsolicited application, I got a video conference interview three days later. The interview went extremely well; the manager was very friendly, which was largely what convinced me to sign with their company.

After applying, I received an email with a link to a series of tests to complete within 10 days. The tests were in 3 parts: a personality questionnaire (25 min), a motivation questionnaire (25 min), and general aptitude (46 min, calculator allowed). Then, there was an in-person interview with the HR Director and the territorial unit director. There were no other steps because the decision was made right after the interview.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Long process. Applied early July, first response early September (vacation time, granted). 45min initial HR call, 3h psychometric and motivation tests to do at home. Full afternoon of in-person interviews with the team, HR, and the direct manager. Was told that regardless of the outcome, I'd be contacted within 2 weeks. After these interviews, a shortlist would be made to meet the director who has the final say. In total: 4 interviews, met everyone for a junior role post-graduation. 3 weeks after the interview, I called and emailed HR multiple times with no response. October 10th: automatic rejection email from a generic address. Wasted my time and money (train tickets).

Behavioral Technical

I applied for an interesting opening even though I wasn't actively looking for a job (I've been working at Arkea for 3 years as an external contractor). I got an initial email saying my profile was of interest, followed by a 20-minute phone call with an HR manager. The next day, I received an invitation for psychometric tests and had to submit diplomas, etc. After that, I was called for a 1.5-hour interview with the HR manager, a department head, and a division manager. We discussed my background and my work at Arkea over the past 3 years. However, we didn't go into technical details for the position because Arkea is apparently hiring a lot right now and they want to understand the candidate's profile first to offer a suitable role. A few days later, I got a generic, unpersonalized email stating my profile wasn't a good fit. Wanting to improve my profile and better define my career path, I emailed the HR manager for a brief explanation of what was lacking, but received no response. Overall, I find Arkea to be a good company, but their HR methods for handling candidates who don't meet their expectations need improvement. It's like a nightclub bouncer who denies entry rudely and without explanation.
