I talked to my future manager and teammates at a career fair hosted by the University of Texas. Then I applied online and had an in-person interview at their office where I met with two team members.

Behavioral Technical

The whole thing took like a month, and I had 2 actual interviews, but they said there were 3 total. The first interview was with a marketing director and someone higher up. It felt really good, they were super nice and I felt like I nailed it. I prepped well and answered everything they asked. It was about an hour long, more like a chat about my background and CP&Y. Then the second interview was with the marketing team and their supervisor. There were 5 women interviewing me, which was a bit intimidating. They wanted to see if I'd fit in with the team, and that interview also went great. It was about 30 minutes and mostly behavioral questions. I was feeling really hopeful. After another week, the HR person I was talking to emailed saying they'd pushed the role to next year. Now I see they're hiring for a Marketing Coordinator, which is a step up from Administrator, so all that time I put in felt like a waste. It kind of stung because I was having such a positive experience talking with them. CP&Y seems like a good company, but the way this ended wasn't ideal.

I met them at my university career fair. They reached out by phone to schedule an interview. The interview itself was in their office. It started with a chat, then they gave me a tour of the place and introduced me to some people. The office seemed really quiet, like everyone was focused on their work and not interacting much.

I met my potential supervisor and mentor at a restaurant for a casual chat. They had already reviewed my resume and wanted to see if I'd be a good fit for their team. We talked about their work and my availability for shifts. It was a relaxed and enjoyable interview.
