It was a zoom call with standard questions. The hiring managers were really nice and thoughtful. They asked about my background and goals, and also about my 5-year plan. It was a pretty good interview overall.

The hiring process was pretty standard. The hiring staff were friendly and wanted to know about my previous experience and how I think it could apply to the specific role. The interview was over Zoom and I felt there were no "trick questions".

You'll first chat with HR, who are super friendly. Then, you'll likely meet with some senior managers. They'll ask you questions specific to our industry, so it's best to talk about your sales goals and mention any important agency contacts you've worked with.

  • Can you tell me about a challenging client you've worked with and the reasons for the difficulty? How did you work to improve that relationship and achieve positive outcomes?

I applied online and about a week and a half later, the Research Director called to set up an in-person interview. I did some research on the company and industry beforehand. On the interview day, I met with the same Research Director in her office. It was a one-on-one interview with basic questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'why Telerep,' and 'career goals.' She also explained the role. Then, I took a 15-minute math test (multiplication, division, percentages) in the conference room. Afterward, I returned to her office, she reviewed my test, we discussed the position more, and I asked questions. She then introduced me to another Research Director for a brief 15-20 minute chat with similar questions, and he shared his perspective on the role. Finally, I went back to the original director. After some small talk, she offered me the job, which I accepted. She then showed me to my desk and introduced me to my new colleagues in the research department. We briefly touched on job details, with more to be covered in orientation tomorrow. The whole process took about two hours.
