First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cox Communications.
Sales Associate
I was interviewed by a recruiter first, who claimed to have my resume. They set up a face-to-face interview for me with someone named Dianne, but there was another person there too, which I wasn't expecting. One person was on a laptop the whole time, asking questions occasionally, while Dianne asked most of them. They asked if I had a resume, but I didn't have a hard copy, which was my fault because I don't own a printer. The recruiter said they had one, which is how they supposedly got my work history, but Dianne said she couldn't find any.
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
Sales Associate
I applied online and about a week later, they had me do a personality test. Then, 8 days after that, I had a phone interview. Three days after that, I had a second phone interview. Another 8 days went by and the recruiter set up an in-person interview with two store managers. Seven days after that, I had a second interview with a district manager. They told me that was the last part and I'd hear back in 3 to 4 days. I called a week later and left a voicemail but didn't get a reply. I emailed them at the 2-week mark and still nothing. Three weeks after the second interview, I got an email saying I wasn't selected.
- Can you describe a Situation or Task you experienced, the Action you took, and the Results of your Action using the S/TAR method?
Sales Associate
You'll start with a phone chat with the recruiter. If that goes well, you'll have an in-person meeting with one or two managers. Lastly, we'll need to do a background and drug test if you get the job.
