Customer Service Representative
For the interview process, be ready for STAR questions. They want examples to show off your skills and experience. Some of the behavioral questions you might get asked are about overcoming challenges, how you deal with a difficult situation, and a time you helped someone develop.
- Can you share an instance where you overcame a challenge?
- How do you handle a difficult situation?
- Tell me about a time you were involved in developing someone.
Customer Service Representative
The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by an online assessment that took over an hour. Then there was an in-person interview with two people. They used the STAR method for both the phone and in-person interviews. The interviewers seemed really robotic and the ones in person were rude. They mentioned they like to promote from within but then said I wasn't hired because I was over-qualified. A big point they made was that most people leave this job because of attendance issues, but they won't hire people who are eager to work hard.
- Can you share an example of a time you handled a challenging customer situation using the STAR method?
- Using the STAR method, describe a situation where you managed multiple tasks at once.
- Can you provide an example of when you had to adhere to a company policy you didn't agree with, and how you handled it?
Customer Service Representative
Had a phone screening with a recruiter who asked basic questions. Then, I had an in-person interview with two supervisors and a manager overseeing them. They started with standard questions, then moved to STAR format questions. Finally, they gave me a packet with a customer scenario and upsell instructions. I had 10 minutes to review it, then they pretended to be the customer and I had to handle the call in 5 minutes, following the packet's instructions. After the call, I asked them some questions, and that was it.
