Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cox Automotive.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
The interview with the 3 panelists was pretty straightforward and positive. The questions focused on STAR method and dealing with challenging scenarios. I had to chase the Senior Recruiter for an update, and they mentioned I should hear back in about a week. However, the recruiter accidentally included me on an email about a counteroffer for another candidate, which made it clear I wasn't getting the job. I got this interview through a referral and was hoping for better communication from the recruiter.
- Can you tell me about a time you faced a difficult situation and how you resolved it?
Senior Accountant
The recruiter contacted me super fast after the job was posted, but then silence after the interview. I followed up after like two weeks and they were like, "Oh, did the hiring team not get in touch with you?"
- Can you describe your current job responsibilities?
Staff Accountant
The hiring process was pretty normal. It started with a phone interview. Then, about a month later, I was invited for a face-to-face interview with two managers. After that, there was another interview with the director.
- What are your plans for the next five years?
- Tell me about a time you had to manage conflicting priorities.
- What's your approach to customer service?
