It was pretty straight forward: talked to recruiter, met with hiring managers, met with few peers I would be working with, and then met with hiring manager again. The interviews themselves were pretty straight forward. The recruiting team could be a bit more organized, but the actual interviews went well.

The interview process was interesting, involving many discussions with different people, both over the phone and in person. It concluded with a meeting with the SVP, whose questioning style was quite unique and odd. I had good conversations with many individuals, both those new to the company and long-time employees. However, the final round felt like an inquisition from the SVP, making me feel grilled as if I had committed a crime. Despite the good initial conversations, the overall experience led me to decline their offer, as I believe there are better companies out there.

the hiring process for the SF office, which is kinda like a startup and might differ for each person. It started with a recruiter call, then a few phone interviews with execs like the VP of Marketing, Director of PM, or SVP Product & Marketing. If they liked me, they wanted me to visit the SF office to meet my future coworkers and then go to Detroit to meet the whole Engineering team.

I applied and the recruiter reached out after a month. They scheduled me for an interview for a different role than I applied for. I had one phone interview, then a group interview. They said the feedback was good but they wanted someone more experienced.
