First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Covia Corporation.
Operator
The interview process included questions about my equipment experience, which was done over Zoom. It was a one-on-one with the plant manager. I was given a description of the plant operations and talked about my previous experience. I also discussed how the old plant management was different from the current one.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with this company?
- Can you elaborate on your experience with equipment?
- Please share details about your past work experience.
Application Support
So there's like four people interviewing you besides yourself. The ERP Director, ERP Manager, a peer and affiliated manager. The questions they ask are using the STAR method and each interviewer is assigned specific questions for when you've had different situations. Like, describe a time when you were proud of something you did, using the STAR method.
- Tell me about a time you were proud of an accomplishment, using the STAR method.
Waiter
I had a phone chat first, then went in for an in-person interview where it was me and two other people. They were pretty standard with their questions and said they're willing to train. They decided pretty fast.
- Could you share your relevant experience?
Customer Service Representative
I got a text from a recruiter about a week and a half ago asking to schedule a phone call, and we set it up for today at 11 am. At 11:30, there was still no call, so I reached out to her. She replied over two hours later saying, "The hiring team has a candidate in the final stages they want to focus on at this time. If anything changes with this position I will let you know!" I get that things come up, but if you schedule a call or interview with someone, the least you can do is send a quick message back if you need to cancel. It takes hardly any time to just send a quick "sorry you're not moving forward" text. It felt really disrespectful of my time.
