The process started with an HR prescreen, which was the first round. Then, there was a meeting with the manager and director. Everything was done over video call. It was a pretty typical process. The conversations were alright, and each one was scheduled for 30 minutes.

The interview process started off great, with a friendly recruiter and an easy initial interview. I felt I performed well, possibly even being overqualified as I previously held a similar role at a larger insurance company and was seeking a smaller team environment. However, after the final interview, I received an impersonal rejection email. When I requested feedback from the recruiter, who had previously been very approachable, she became dismissive and ignored my question, which was quite unprofessional. Additionally, the advertised salary of 75k was reduced to 60k during the phone call, which was not competitive.

I found the interview process to be quite straightforward. It started with an application submitted through a recruiter, followed by a conversation with a friendly and approachable HR representative. Due to the holiday season, there was a slight delay in hearing back, extending the process over a few weeks. Although the company was interested in moving forward, I decided to withdraw my application as the role wasn't the right fit for me.

The interview process included broad questions where I could share examples, but also some technical questions that felt too specific and focused on outdated concepts, which was strange given the current tech landscape. I didn't feel great about my performance and wasn't surprised by the outcome, though I never heard back from Coverys.
