The interview process was quite lengthy, lasting nearly two months. Everyone I met was fantastic and seemed genuinely happy working there. They clearly invest a lot in selecting the right candidates, which is a good sign for the kind of company it is. Although I reached the final stages, I wasn't chosen, which was a bummer, but overall, it was a positive experience.

I went through 6 interviews for this role. There were calls with different departments and regions. I had to do two presentations. I also met with c-suite executives. Most of these were done online, either really early or really late. The whole process took a long time, and in the end, they canceled the job, which felt like a waste of time and energy that I could have spent with my family or on other things.

It began with an immediate coding assessment on HackerRank. The test involved a contextual bandit problem focused on predicting customer discount amounts. However, they tend to ghost candidates and don't provide feedback if you don't pass the test! It's probably a waste of time unless you're a contextual bandit expert or perform exceptionally well on the test!

This was a long and tedious interview process that lacked clarity on what they were looking for in a candidate. The CTO seemed as uninformed about the technology domain as a novice. Their concept of a 'smart connected solution ecosystem' was limited to 'hardware guys,' suggesting a typical software development house focused on APIs. They seemed to want a product owner to write requirements rather than a product manager capable of market scanning, opportunity analysis, and contributing to organizational scalability. My overall impression was that the founders sometimes confuse arrogance with pride and insecurity.
