It was a standard interview process. They asked questions directly related to the job and my previous experience. The interview was well-organized and they provided feedback on my performance as discussed.

Technical Coding

We started with an HR screening call, then a coding challenge that took about two weeks to complete and was of average difficulty. After that, there was an interview which was pretty relaxed and only partly technical. They also mentioned we could reach out on Slack if any questions came up.

Behavioral Technical

The first step was a 45-minute recruiter call, mostly the recruiter talking about how great Coveo is and their benefits. I mostly just listened. Step 2 was a video call with three people: an engineer, a support manager, and a group manager. It felt like a technical interview because they asked technical questions and scenarios for an hour, but it wasn't the actual technical interview, which was frustrating because it was so long and boring. Step 3 was the technical test. They gave me a task to complete in their software tool and a Q&A section, but I couldn't ask technical questions. They said there was no deadline, but after a week, they terminated the process because I hadn't done the task or asked questions, which was confusing since they said there was no time frame.
