Implementation Manager
The interview process took about 2 months and involved around 5 or 6 interviews. One of these was a case study that I had to prepare and present back to Coursera for 45 minutes. I thought I did well, and my salary expectations were clear from the first HR interview. However, in the end, they decided not to hire me because they chose someone more junior, which wasn't related to my performance. It was disappointing given the time and effort I invested. My advice is to be prepared for a long and demanding process, and you might not get an offer even if you feel you're doing well and your salary has been agreed upon. The whole process was way too long.
- Can you tell me about the biggest challenges and successes you've experienced in your current or previous positions?
Office Manager
First, there was a phone call with HR to see if I was a good fit. Then, the hiring manager in Facilities called to chat about my qualifications. After that, I went for an on-site interview with five people: HR, Facilities Manager, IT Admin, and Finance. Three of these interviews were 30 minutes each, and two were 15 minutes. It wasn't a super structured interview process. I really liked the people and the company's mission, so it was a great experience. I would have loved to work there! The HR person called me later to say they chose someone else, which just confirmed it would have been a great place to work. They were great with communication and paying attention to details!
- Describe a time you had to deal with a specific situation.
- How would you handle a particular scenario?
- Can you tell me more about...?
Manager
The whole thing was super chill, really open, and moved fast. Recruiters were on top of it. They really sold me on the vision, and the whole team, especially the execs (VP and CPO), was impressive. Seems like they've put a lot into building a leadership team that can scale, and everyone I saw in the office looked like they were having a good time (my second round was during a company-wide demo of a hack week project).
- Can you tell us about your background and experience?
- What are your thoughts on scaling support for learners to continue growth?
- Given current scenarios we're facing, how would you approach solving them, particularly concerning scaling support?
