Data Engineer
Applied via LinkedIn. Got a Hackerrank link from the recruiter for a 60-minute test with 2 SQL and 1 Python question. Then, had a video call with another Data Engineer for a technical round, where I had to write SQL queries using a given data model and also tackle one coding question. Following that, I received a take-home assignment to complete before the virtual onsite interviews. The onsite was quite extensive, with 6 rounds involving the entire team. Overall, it was a positive experience, and the recruiter was helpful with any questions I had.
- Prepare for SQL questions.
- Prepare for Python questions.
- Prepare for Data modeling questions.
Data Engineer
Worst experience ever because the hiring process was so unprofessional! Had a technical interview about an hour long a few months back with the engineer team in Toronto. They asked some SQL questions and a simple coding question. I finished ahead of schedule and got positive feedback from HR the next day. But, a few days later, they told me the position didn't actually need a senior level. It's really unprofessional since they interviewed me after screening my resume and then told me they didn't need a senior level after the interview was done.
- What SQL questions did you get, mostly related to the specific domain?
- Can you describe the simple coding question?
Data Engineer
The first step was a 60-minute Hackerrank coding challenge. It included two medium SQL questions and one coding question. The SQL questions were easy, but the coding question was a bit confusing, though not overly difficult. Overall, I had less time than I needed to solve it.
- SQL questions related to ranking
