First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at County Market.
Sales Associate
After you apply, they might call you in 3-7 days to set up an in-person interview. If you miss their call, they'll leave a voicemail asking you to call back if you're still interested. During the interview, they'll ask a simple math question, check your availability, and ask about your understanding of good customer service and how you'd handle difficult customers. They'll contact you in a few days to let you know if you got the job.
- If someone gave you $20 but the food cost $13.25 how much would you give back?
- What do you think good customer service is?
- How do you deal with rude customers?

I walked in as an applicant and then got a call for an interview. I wasn't ready to set up an appointment then, so I called them back about a week later. They told me all their current interview slots were full. A few days after that, they called me and scheduled an interview for around noon. We discussed my background, what position I was interested in, and whether my availability was flexible. The interviewer asked me some questions and then asked if I had any questions. She mentioned she would look for available positions at nearby stores and follow up with me.

Cashier
Applied online and got a call for an interview the next day. Met with the hiring manager. Asked some questions about work ethic, willingness to take a drug test for injuries, and future plans with the company. Also had a skills and produce test.
- What value do you bring to our company?
- Tell me about your work ethic.
- Would you be willing to undergo a drug test in the event of an on-the-job injury?
Bakery Clerk
It wasn't really an interview, more like a chat about what the job entails. We sat at a table, and they described the position. I basically confirmed I could handle the physical demands. After that, we toured the place, and then I was done.
- Are you able to lift 40lbs by yourself and stand for extended periods of time?
