First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Country Pure Foods.
Manager
The interview process was really friendly and they asked some good questions. It would be great if they marketed their pay scale a bit more before the interview. They seemed to want someone to start quickly, and I'm really looking forward to helping grow the business.
- Could you tell me about your past experience working with the department you're interviewing for?
Human Resources Manager
I spoke with someone from the HR team at their main office. They laid out a timeline and next steps. I thought I was moving on. Then, nothing. I tried to follow up, but they ghosted me. Also, when I asked why the last person left, they said it was because her new job was closer to home, but I know her old job was walking distance and the new one is way further. I thought they were professional until then. It was a bad experience. You should probably look elsewhere.
- Why were you interested in working here?
Associate
I applied online and got a call from HR super fast, like within ten minutes, asking for my degree and certs to check if I met the basic requirements. I had an interview scheduled for later that week. But, the interviewers were super late, like an hour and a half past my appointment time! While waiting in the lobby, I noticed the staff were really unhappy and were bad-mouthing coworkers and complaining about rules, even saying some really discriminatory stuff which is messed up. Because of the poor attitude and unsafe environment, I decided to walk out and turned down the offer. I feel like safety and a respectful workplace are super important.
- There weren't any, I was prepared
Plant Manager
This interview had a phone screen and then an in-person interview. It felt like a pretty standard interview process for similar roles I've applied for. The person interviewing me seemed experienced, but they weren't as tough or critical as some interviewers I've encountered.
- What prompted your departure from your previous employment?
