Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at COUNTRY Financial.
Financial Representative
I applied online then was contacted by a recruiter about a week later. She sent me a "personality" type test and forwarded my information to the local sales manager. Speaking with her was enjoyable and honestly she made me more interested in Country than I had been. I met with the local sales manager the following week. Had a great interview and was invited to a 2nd interview w/ the regional sales manager the following week. Had 2nd interview and was offered a position. Almost all of the questions were scripted "Tell me about a time...". Do your research on the company. I personally found out all I could before hand and also compared them to the competition as much as I could not having prior experience in the industry. Great company as far as I can tell.
- What motivates you to want to work for Country?
Financial Representative
Interviewed with the manager, then interviewed with the manager again. Then possibly interviewed with the district manager. Finally, a job offer. The first interview was just to give info. Info about the job and how it all works. The second interview was the actual test interview. It covered your strengths/weaknesses and all the usual interview stuff. The third interview was to see if you truly have what it takes to work in insurance. Basically, checking if your personality and work ethic align with what they are looking for.
- How does your past work experience make you a good fit for this role?
- Is your transportation reliable?
Financial Representative
I met with HR and then I met with the manager. You need to have all your licenses before you get the job. The interview process can vary a lot depending on the hiring manager. My interview process was very slow because the hiring manager was very busy. The hiring manager did most of the talking. You might have a homework assignment of conducting financial interviews, meeting with planners, and gathering your network.
