First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cottonwood Residential.
Property Manager
The interview process was really great. I had three interviews and all of them were very informative while asking challenging questions. They seem like a really amazing company that is growing but still trying to figure out their structure.
- Could you tell me about your experience?
Leasing Specialist
I had a phone screen, then met in person with the community manager. They sent me an offer letter two days later. HR communicated about my background and credit check, which was brief. Once approved, they sent the offer letter and employment start date.
- What makes you want to work for Cottonwood Residential?
- Could you describe your experience in leasing?
Leasing Specialist
The first step was a chat with the property manager. They were super friendly and shared a lot about the company. Beforehand, you had to take a personality test, and without it, you wouldn't even be considered. They also want you to get a certain score on it. The job involves helping clients move in, showing them available apartments, and sometimes handing out flyers about the property to local businesses for possible leads. If they liked you, you'd get a call for a second interview with the regional manager.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- In what ways would you be valuable to our company?
- Imagine you're given a basic floor plan of a unit with unfinished floors and no walls. How would you present this space to a potential renter?
Assistant Manager
Had two interviews online. One was with the GM and the other with a regional person. They were good interviews and I got to know more about the property and what they needed from me.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a challenging situation?
