The interview process took a little over a month, with three interviews. It felt pretty laid back. The job description was pretty basic, saying it was an 'opportunity' to shape the role, which sounded cool but maybe didn't work out. The first two interviews were about 30 minutes each with the Director of FP&A and the Controller. The last interview was a tie-breaker with the CFO/COO against one other person. It got rescheduled twice and was only about 15 minutes, which was a bit of a letdown. They ended up not hiring anyone and decided to rethink the job description and start over because they felt neither of us was a perfect fit. I really liked the team, though, and hope they can sort out the role because they seemed swamped and needed help with reporting and improving processes. Overall, it was a good experience.

The interview process was very informative and the questions they asked were pretty interesting to learn about yourself and what you can provide. The people are very nice and down to earth too and make sure you're comfortable.

I applied online and Cotopaxi got back to me about a week later via email to schedule an interview with the COO. It was about 30 minutes and he said he'd like to have me come back for a second round with him and some other team members. He told me he'd check their calendars and let me know what dates work and asked that I send my references in the meantime. I sent my references and then never heard back after that. I followed up three times by email and once by phone over two weeks, but they never responded. I really like the company, but the COO's handling of the interview process was really unprofessional.
