Store Manager
I applied in early April and heard back for a final interview in early May. The interviewer said they'd let me know in two weeks. I followed up after two weeks, and they needed more time, maybe until the end of May. I sent another email in the last week of May, checking if they could give me an answer by the timeframe, but no response. There's one day left in May, but with no update, I'm left wondering if I got it (I'm assuming I didn't by now). If not, I wish they'd at least tell me instead of making me wait longer.
- How would you handle a staff member who isn't performing up to par?
Store Manager
The interview process involved a phone interview, a two-hour group activity, another phone interview, and then an in-person interview. They really made it seem like a reality TV show, sending emails to keep hopes up and saying I passed to the next level. It took two months of my time. Honestly, they should just interview and give a YES or NO. After waiting two months, I was told on a Wednesday (after my background check cleared) that I'd get a call on Friday. They called on Friday and said NO, thanking me for my patience. Was that Wednesday email really necessary? It felt like a show.

- What are you able to contribute?
Store Manager
The interview process involved a group of applicants working together on tasks. We weren't informed about the 2-hour duration until the assessment was about to start, which caused annoyance and required me to reschedule another interview. There was also a lack of clarity regarding the interview location; it was at a hotel downtown, and I had to ask the front desk for directions. Additionally, I had to pay $30 for parking as there was no valet for non-guests. The interviewers, being from out of town, didn't seem to consider the logistical challenges for local applicants. The overall experience felt inconsiderate and unbalanced, leading me to reconsider my interest in the job. Two weeks later, I was informed I didn't get the position.
