First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Corrpro.
Engineer
The interview process began with a phone call from HR, who was quite friendly. The following week, I interviewed with the hiring manager. He seemed disengaged and distracted, making me feel rushed and like I was wasting his time. He asked me to discuss my background, starting with university, and then my previous jobs, highlighting one relevant to this position. He also inquired about my technical skills, mentioning he sought someone eager to learn. After the interview, I sent a thank you email and later a follow-up, but never heard back from Corrpro regarding my application status, which I found unprofessional.

Corrosion Technician
I sent my CV directly to the branch manager and about a month later, I had a phone chat with him to go over the CV details, my training, and past work. After that, I had another interview at his office with him and the project manager. They asked similar direct questions, but with more depth, and they talked about how the company operates.
- Could you tell me about your experience with cathodic protection systems?
- Are you capable of performing physically demanding tasks?
- Are you available to work overtime when needed?
Technical Support Engineer
It was a pretty standard interview process. They started with common questions like "Why do you want to work here?" and other typical behavioral questions. They also asked about my willingness to relocate or travel, and if I'm comfortable riding quads.
- Can you describe a problem you encountered and the steps you took to resolve it?
- What was your process for solving that specific problem?
Corrosion Engineer
No phone interview. Had a one-on-one. If you're not from A&M, don't bother. Referred a friend with petroleum and mechanical engineering degrees and Halliburton experience, but they were declined. They hired an anthropology major as an engineer and a car salesman as a technician.
