First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cornerstone Government Affairs.
Intern
So basically there was just one interview and a writing test. It was all pretty simple stuff. The writing test I got was like, 24 hours to finish it, they just wanted to see what I could do within that time. And then the interview was like a normal internship interview.
- Tell me about your interest in working at CGA.
- What makes CGA unique in terms of its history and culture?
Operations Intern
I went through a 4 on 1 interview. They asked a lot of questions about my resume and my experience with high-stakes projects. It wasn't overly difficult, but the interview style could be a bit intimidating.
- Regarding your experience with large events, could you describe what it was like and what the outcome was?
Administrative Assistant
So, there were several rounds of video panel interviews. They started with, like, medium-level people and went all the way up to the CEO/management. Each interview had about 2-3 people. Oh, and before any interviews, HR had me complete an assessment within a day. They asked pretty standard questions.
- What do you anticipate being the biggest challenge in this position?
Policy Intern
20 minute interview with the intern committee (about 6 people from different levels of the company each asking questions) who asked a range of questions about the experiences listed on my resume and my talents as well as questions to just get to know me more as a person and discover my personality.
- Can you elaborate on the experiences mentioned in your resume?
- Could you share an instance where you encountered a significant challenge?
