So first I had a talk with a consultant for about an hour. Then, the VP & Principal Engineer and the Manufacturing Engineer Manager spoke with me for another hour. They went over what the job entails and let me explain how my past experience fits what they're looking for. I got to ask them anything, and they were open about the company's current struggles and how that might impact my role. It felt more like a conversation between professionals about tackling business problems and sharing ideas, rather than just a standard interview.

The process was kinda messed up. People were coming in and out of the interview room. Some of them didn't even have anything to do with my interview, they were just there. Eventually, the owner came in, glanced at my resume, and with a smirk said 'sure'. I thought it was a compliment at the time, but now I just think it shows incompetence.
