First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cornerstone Advisors(AZ).
Data Architect
It was a 3 round interview process for a job that seemed more like data governance or database management. The explanations were confusing and didn't go beyond what analysts do at my company, which is like near college grad level. I got ghosted and never heard back when I asked for feedback.
- Tell me about your motivation for joining our company.
- What's prompting your departure from your present position?
Operations Manager
The interview process kicked off with a phone call from David, a chat about the role and general pleasantries. After that, I was invited to a second interview. This one was different, more of a presentation of what they needed from the role, and then they opened it up for my questions. After that, there was no follow-up.
- Questions about the role were addressed after the description was given.
Analyst
I applied online through LinkedIn and got an email response within a couple of business days. No initial phone screen happened. I had an in-person interview with the HR director. By chance, the head of the department for the job I applied for was visiting, so I went back the next day for another interview with them. Both seemed to go well. When I was leaving the director's interview, they mentioned "we'll be in touch," which made me a bit nervous due to the vague timeline. The day after that, the HR director reached out to ask for my references. Within two business days after providing references, I got a job offer.
- Can you describe your 5-year plan?
Consulting Intern
Super long hiring process: had a phone screen, then a fit interview, and then a take-home case study. It all took more than 4 months. The HR department was really rude and even borderline racist. There's very little diversity in the company, and it's definitely not a place you'd want to be if you're a POC. I got an offer, but I'm really glad I didn't accept the internship.
