First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Corner Alliance.
Associate Consultant
The interview started with a phone screen/interview where I learned more about the position, the projects, and my salary expectations. Soon after, they set up follow-up virtual interviews that were about 30 minutes long and were very considerate of everyone's time.
- Can you tell me about yourself and explain your interest in working with Corner Alliance?
Consultant
I interviewed with a lot of people. It felt like too much, especially considering the low salary for how much experience I have. The interviewers were professional, but I didn't get the sense they were looking for me specifically, more just to fill a spot.
- Tell me about yourself and your personality.
- How do you fit with the team and company culture?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Communications Program Manager Lead
A 3rd party recruiter reached out to me. First, I had an initial phone screening with the recruiter who didn't know much about the job but knew a lot about the company. After that, the recruiter set up a meeting with the hiring managers at Corner Alliance. Then, the recruiter called me for a prep session. They went over basic interview tips like how to present yourself, avoid common mistakes, and gave me some info on the hiring managers. After that, I had a virtual interview with two of the three hiring managers. We talked about our backgrounds and experiences, and I answered questions about program management and communications skills. Finally, I had to chase the 3rd party recruiter to find out I wasn't selected; no reason was given.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with the US Government?
- Please describe your experience interacting with senior Government officials.
- What is your experience related to the Department of Commerce?
Proposal Coordinator
CA had a really well-organized interview process. I always knew where I stood, from my first chat with the recruiter all the way through talking to the team, and I knew when to expect the next step. They were great at keeping me updated.
- What sparked your interest in this position?
- What unique skills or contributions would you offer from the start?
