Clinical Research Manager
The interview process involved several rounds. I first met with the hiring manager, then with the CRM team, and finally with the Chief Scientific Officer. HR/Recruiting did a good job communicating and setting up the interviews. The only downside was the long waits between interviews, which sometimes meant updates were slow and I was dealing with other things.
- Can you describe how you manage difficult or competing priorities?
- How do you approach working with different personalities and client types?
Data Engineering Director
The interview process with CorEvitas spanned about 4 months and involved speaking with at least 10 people. I enjoyed connecting with the various stakeholders I'd be working closely with. Throughout the process, I was consistently told I was a good fit and that they were excited about my candidacy, with all feedback being positive. After the final conversations with 10 individuals, I was informed that all interviews were complete and a decision would be made shortly. However, whenever I inquired about the decision, they would simply schedule more interviews. It felt like the interview process had no end and lacked clear direction on next steps. The hiring manager's inability to assess a candidate after multiple rounds and a 4-month duration suggests they lack clarity and vision on the company's needs, merely wasting the candidate's time. I realized I was wasting my time during my last meeting with the hiring manager and began exploring other options. Within a few weeks, I had several offers. Then, after 4 months, they suddenly decided I wasn't a good fit, by which point I had multiple offers. I'm glad I looked elsewhere and didn't join a company that seems to lack a clear hiring vision. Experiencing this interview process makes me wonder what it would be like working there.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- Describe your collaboration process with different Business Units.
Qualitative Research Associate
This was a very intense interview process-unlike any others I’ve experienced. I had a total of 4 interviews plus an assignment to display my communication skills. This whole process spanned the course of about 1.5 months. I was very interested in the position and was elated when a job offer was extended. I took the weekend to discuss logistics and transitions with my family, then officially accepted the offer. To my utter shock and disbelief, I was told they could not move forward with this offer. This left me absolutely reeling. Not only was this whole process a waste of time, it left me picking up the pieces to inform my current employer of this terrible situation (after discussing this original offer with them). Unfortunately, I would recommend any future candidates to tread very, very carefully with any opportunities from this company.
- Can you tell me about how many projects or tasks you have managed simultaneously?
Project Manager
Started with a great HR interview, then I interviewed with the Director of Ops. The questions were pretty standard, covering my past experience and how I'd handle typical situations. After her questions, the interview just ended without any mention of next steps. I waited a couple of weeks and followed up with HR for an update. They told me they had several highly qualified candidates and wouldn't be moving forward with me, which was a real blow. It's tough job hunting, and it's discouraging when you don't get any constructive feedback.
- Can you describe how you would keep a project on schedule from its start to its completion?
