First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CoreSite.
Program Manager
I had a recruiter screen, then a virtual meeting with the hiring manager. After that, I went to an on-campus interview day where I met people from different departments. The talent acquisition team was super helpful in explaining how to succeed in the process. The questions were mostly skills-based, like asking how I'd handle a specific job-related situation. Everyone was nice and open to hearing about my transferable skills.
- How do you manage stakeholders when they have conflicting priorities?
Billing Administrator
The interview seemed to go well, and I spoke with three different people for about 20 minutes. They were helpful and gave me good information about the team, company, and the job itself. However, after the interview, I heard nothing back. No official rejection or anything. I even tried emailing each of them multiple times to thank them and ask for an update, but they never responded. It felt really unprofessional and disrespectful. Sending a simple email shouldn't be that hard. Ghosting candidates is not a good way to handle things.
- What is your understanding of Coresite?
Data Center Technician
This was one of the worst interview processes I've ever dealt with in my 15 year career. The interviewer did not seem trained to be conducting interviews or simply not good at it. He literally asked me 10 generic questions but took no time to dive into my past experiences or resume. He barely introduced himself. Without going into my experiences or resume the interview was awkward because I wasn't sure if I should try and align the answers with my examples from my experiences. This process should have been a phone screening and not an interview over zoom.

Billing Assurance Supervisor
The interview process was great! They kept the process really candidate friendly, as I was interviewed by multiple people all in one day. Instead of asking me to come back again, they made sure I met with everyone they wanted me to meet with in about a 4 hour window. The communication regarding time, people you will meet with, how to get to the office, parking, etc. was great! HR let me know the title of each person I was meeting with. This was great for interview preparation, as I was able to think of various questions I would ask each individual person given their title within the organization. Overall, It was definitely the best interview process I had been through in my career. The next day I was called by the hiring manager and was offered the job!
