First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CoreCivic.
SOC Analyst
The first interview was a video call with the day shift manager. Then, a second interview took place with the day shift manager, the night shift manager, and the department head. They asked questions relevant to the job, but I felt my technical skills, especially in networking, were lacking. They also made me feel bad about not having more certifications besides Sec+.
- A customer reports a non-functional printer; what steps would you take to resolve this issue?
- How would you approach troubleshooting a customer's printer problem?
- What is your strategy for resolving printer issues reported by a customer?
Project Manager
I had a phone call screening, then a virtual interview with the department head, followed by a virtual interview with a panel of department heads. Overall, it was a really positive experience. All the interviews went well, and I thought the team was both friendly and professional.
- Can you share three strengths that align well with this role?
Human Resources Assistant
You put your application in and a recruiter at the headquarters checks it out. It takes like 2-3 weeks to get reviewed. Then the applications go to the HR Manager and she checks your credit. If you pass the credit check, you get an interview. They ask a bunch of questions about the job requirements. It's pretty obvious who's gonna get the job though because the interviewers sound so bored and uninterested you know you're not gonna get picked. It seems like interviews are based on who they like.
- Can you tell us what sparked your interest in this role?
- What are your thoughts on the requirements for this position?
- Why are you interested in this job?
Administrative Assistant
After you submit your application, we'll give you a call to schedule an interview. The interview will focus on understanding your basic knowledge, and we'll ask detailed questions. We'll also look for your ability to analyze situations and answer questions, your communication skills, and whether you've gone above and beyond in previous roles. Some basic knowledge of the firm is needed.
- Can you describe a time when you performed a task that was beyond your usual responsibilities or capabilities?
