First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Corebridge Financial.
Sales Consultant
The interview process was pretty straightforward and efficient. I went through two rounds of interviews. They were really quick to get back to me after each stage. I got answers to all the questions I had. They laid out all the details about the job upfront, like what the role involves, the salary, benefits, and the hiring timeline. I felt like they were totally upfront about everything, so I knew exactly what to expect.
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated [skill/behavior].
- Could you share an example of a successful sale you made?
- How do you typically go about understanding what a client is looking for?
Identity and Access Governance Manager
They are definitely posting ghost jobs. I had 2 interviews, and they went pretty smoothly. I was told I'd be a great fit and would hear from HR about next steps. The recruiter said, 'Hope all is well! Thank you for your email. **** is still wrapping up a few interviews this week. Once he completes all the interviews, I will follow up on his feedback and next step.' That was 4 weeks ago. After several follow-up emails with no response, I figured it out. It's funny because in my first chat with the recruiter, she talked about how they get ghosted by candidates and warned me not to get my hopes up or waste my time with the company, saying they wouldn't respect my time.
- Can you walk me through your general background experience as reflected on your resume?
Digital Media Buyer
The first interview was with a Recruiter, it was an hour long and they asked basic working related questions. Next, I had a second round with the hiring manager. The hiring manager went through every single bullet in my resume and gave off red flag vibes, like someone you wouldn’t want to work for/with. I was not contacted after the second round, but I would not have took the position anyway. It is listed as remote, but they have plans to return to office if you are located within a hub.
- Can you tell me why you're seeking a new role?
- Which marketing platforms do you know well?
- Would you be comfortable working longer hours when you start?
IT Director
The hiring process for this IT Director role was really drawn out, stretching over five months with significant delays and a lack of communication from the recruiters. During the interviews, I was asked common questions about challenges I've encountered and my overall experience in the IT sector. The final stage involved a conversation with an executive leader, but we had very different ideas on several critical points, making it clear that our differing perspectives on innovation and strategy meant it wasn't a good match.
- Can you share an example of your greatest achievement?
- What would you consider your biggest professional failure?
- Tell me about your most significant success.
