I found the IT Technical Support job on Indeed and applied. The recruiter contacted me the same day to set up a phone interview for the next week. We confirmed the time and date. The day before, the recruiter texted and left a voicemail asking if I could do the interview right away or reschedule for the next day because they wanted to get it done. I said I was available, so we did the phone interview then. They asked basic questions about why I'm leaving my job, my expectations for the company, and my experience with VPNs, networking, Windows troubleshooting, Active Directory, and WAN/LAN. She mentioned I'd hear from the hiring manager the next day if I progressed. I never heard back, and it's been a week, so I assume they chose someone else.

I had a phone screen with HR and then interviewed with the hiring manager. They told me they were moving forward with my application, but then a week and a half later, they said they weren't. What a waste of my time.

Behavioral Other

A recruiter reached out, and although I was hesitant to switch jobs then (and still haven't), they were persistent. The interview was initially set with the technical lead but ended up including a PM as well, which was fine. The interview lasted about an hour. I spoke for roughly 10 minutes total, while the PM talked most of the time about their work at another company and their positive view of Córdoba. The technical lead seemed disengaged, spending the entire time on their phone and asking no questions. At the interview's end, the PM brought up salary and wanted to negotiate immediately, which made me uncomfortable since I also wanted to discuss other benefits. They extended a formal offer later that day, but the proposed salary was considerably lower than what was mentioned during the interview.

This was one of the most unprofessional interviews I have ever seen. The hiring manager will keep you waiting for months. After many calls and even forgetting the role I applied for, they ended up rejecting me, which was a complete waste of my time. The company appears to favor hiring Hispanic individuals due to the CEO Founder being Mexican. If you are Hispanic, you probably have a good chance of getting hired because there are many Hispanic employees. Everyone I interacted with from Cordoba, including HR, was Hispanic and very unprofessional, with HR seeming too young.
