First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cordial Experience.
Solutions Consultant
I had an HR screen, then an HM interview for about 30 mins. She then set up another 1 hour call for the following week. After that, there was a peer interview (45 mins) and a sales peer interview (30 mins). After all that, I was ghosted. I reached out to the recruiter for an update and she included the hiring manager in the reply, but still, no response. It's pretty disrespectful to take up so much of someone's time and prep without any follow-up.
- How has your move into sales been so far?
Support Engineer
It started with a casual chat with an internal recruiter about my background. Then, I had a call with the lead engineer where we talked about my experience in a really relaxed way. This led to a tech challenge that was pretty straightforward and interesting. I spent about 4-6 hours on it altogether before submitting it to the repo and getting ready for the on-site. The on-site interview lasted almost 3 hours and involved about 5 different interview panels, all from departments I'd be working with regularly. I even got to speak one-on-one with the CTO and ask any questions I had. The recruiter offered me the job the following Monday. Every interaction throughout the process was great, and the company's culture really showed through in how they handled everything, including a fair offer.
- Which technology do you like the most, and what's the reason?
- Can you describe your experience with large datasets and any problems you faced?
Client Solutions Engineer
Cordial was super fast, like, the quickest and most organized interview process I've ever seen. It was supposed to be four interviews: one was an hour, and the other three were 30 minutes each. I talked to people from different departments, and it was cool to meet a software engineer who actually works on the product – I think that shows good teamwork there. I was meant to talk to one more person but we had to reschedule because of timing issues. Didn't end up talking to them though because they made an offer the very next business day! Oh, and a tip if you get an onsite: ask about parking validation, it's really expensive!
- What makes you want to join our company?
- Can you describe how you arrived at the solution?
Marketing
It started with a phone screen/intro with HR, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had a 1-on-1 in-person meeting with the hiring manager for culture fit and more in-depth discussions. The process concluded with final in-office, 1-on-1 in-person interviews with key department members in consecutive meetings. The whole process was professional and buttoned-up, and the team clearly knows how to recruit, retain, and engage talent as they are in growth mode. The team members seemed like 'A players' with drive and a shared vision, possessing the necessary background and humility. They were cordial, warm, friendly, professional, accommodating, respectful, and appreciative. It was a good process with good people and a good product.
- We're looking to see if there's a fit, can you do the job, does your skillset match, will there be mutual value, and will everyone get along.
