First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Corcept Therapeutics.
Medical Director
It started with HR, then the hiring manager, and finally a panel interview with people I'd work with. No presentation was needed. The panel interview could take all day depending on the number of people on it. Overall, it was a great experience.
- Were common behavioral questions asked?
- Did you discuss resume details?
TMF Manager
The Executive Director was really nice and professional discussing what the job would entail, as it was a brand new role. I made sure to highlight my background with the database that's relevant to the position and how I like working with different teams.
- Have you managed responsibilities for people in other departments regularly?
Medical Affairs
The interview process had 4 rounds, including an on-site. The position was open and closed for months, and it's currently closed. They forgot to inform me I wasn't selected and had already chosen someone else. My take is that no offer was actually given, and given the extensive questions, they basically got a free consultation for their medical strategy. Pretty pathetic.

Sales Representative
I had a face-to-face meeting with the hiring manager and then a phone interview with the director. Both interactions were really positive, and the questions felt more like a conversation to see if I was a good fit rather than a test. We all seemed to agree I was. I genuinely enjoyed talking to them and felt I'd work well with them. I like the company, its mission, and its approach. The issue was with the recruiter they used. Her communication was terrible, which doesn't reflect well on the company for potential candidates. She'd schedule an interview, ask me to block off a day, and then I'd hear nothing for weeks, despite my calls and emails. But when she did call, it felt like an urgent demand. This is not ideal for attracting good talent. The last I heard, she was arranging a face-to-face with the director, which was two weeks ago. I've since accepted another job offer. It's surprising.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- Regarding this rare disease, how do you cope with not finding a patient for 3-6 months? Will you persist in advocating for the patient?
