First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Copper Penny.
Secretarial Assistant
The interview was really short, only a few minutes. I think I did okay and moved on to the next step pretty easily. I'm a bit worried about the tests though, and would really appreciate it if someone could give me some idea about the Aptitude test.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your suitability for remote work?
- Could you provide some insight into the workings of the Aptitude test?
Waitress
They ask really basic interview questions, especially regarding customer care. The main focus is on food and alcohol knowledge and guest comfort and care. They briefly touch on teamwork abilities.
- How would you handle guest issues?
- What would you do if a guest had a problem?
- Can you describe how you would manage a difficult guest situation?
Sales Associate
Got the initial contact through a friend of a friend referral, which seems necessary. Brought in my application and got called in for an interview a few weeks later. The manager asked me some questions and then offered me the job. The role depends heavily on presentation skills, as it's in a high-end boutique, and your personality - you need to be cute and bubbly with customers. Awkwardness is not tolerated and they screen for that. Dress really cute, style your hair and makeup, and come in with a big, confident smile to do well. You'll be surrounded by similar people - cute, perky girls who love clothes and fashion.
- What's your approach to dealing with an irate customer?
- How would you encourage a customer to purchase something without being too pushy?
Sales Associate
The interview process was pretty straightforward. They're looking for candidates who show some interest in the role. It's a fast and basic process, and it seems they specifically hire females for this position.
- Could you describe your past experience in sales?
- Imagine you need to sell a product; how would you approach it?
- What aspects of working in retail do you find appealing?
